Our Sunday School lesson last week was on the model church. I pointed out to the class (based on 1 Thes. 1:3) that the ideal church is made up of people who trust Jesus so much that they work hard for Him. They are so full of love that they get tired out for Him and they are so full of hope that they put up with all sorts of unpleasantness and inconvenience for Him.

Galarraga was also an example of good sportsmanship. A lot of other athletes would have cursed and stomped and made a scene. I hope athletes everywhere take note of his grace under pressure. He was a gentleman. Great observation and take on this historic sports event, Tim.

Love this passage, Tim. As I was reading the passage, I found myself taking Spafford’s place, as I assume any husband and father would. Whenever I read or hear something like that it really hits home. One thing I know for sure, I wouldn’t respond as he did. I want to.

Can’t wait for the book.

AMEN, Tim … I’ve been mightily blessed by putting feet and voice to the faith I have in Him. He is always with us through the darkest storm… When His children are facing the terrifying STORM and cry out to Him, He always responds … Sometimes He calms the storm; sometimes He calms the child… BUT He always responds to our FAITH in Him.
